Paw Balm & Massage Treatment $5
A soothing butter balm massage for those dry, cracked, and irritated paw pads. 

This ideal wellness treatment keeps paws feeling good and in top condition, but it’s also a great healing treatment for dry, cracked, irritated paws, and noses, too.   During your dog’s bath, paws are gently brushed with soft bristles to clean pad and to get dirt, sand, and grime from deep between each toe. Next, luxurious Happytails BowWOW Balm, a highly effective soothing conditioner, is thoroughly massaged into aching pads of each paw to reverse the negative effects of environmental irritants, and to make your dog’s feet feel wonderfully refreshed. Dogs love this hedonistic foot rub while therapeutic ingredients penetrate dry, cracked, paws. Blueberry Facial Treatment $7.00
Straight from the post doggie spas of Southern California, South Bark’s Blueberry Facial is now available at Dog Day Afternoon Spa!  (Add on to any service that includes a bath.)


This delightfully aromatic deep cleaning wash is designed for the dirtiest part of a dog—the head. Blueberries have more antioxidants than any fruit, and these natural anti-oxidants combined with a mild cleanser and an award-winning optical color enhancer that works wonders while being gentle.

 

South Bark’s Blueberry Facial® is applied to your dog’s face with a warm, steamy towel for hydration.  An extraordinary neck, head, and facial massage provide a state of peaceful relaxation with the wonderful scent providing calming aromatherapy.  This gives sufficient time to maximize benefits that result in a deep-clean, bright, fluffy muzzle and face.

Tear Stains Regimen
For Tear Stain Removal & Control  with Free or Reduced-Cost Blueberry Facial

Simply put, tear stains result from excessive tearing.  When the face hair is wet from excess tearing it is the breeding ground for bacteria and yeast. One of the most common yeast infections is Ptyrosporin or Red Yeast, which causes a deep reddish-brown stain. Low-grade bacterial infections in the tear ducts are also common and may cause excess tearing and staining.

Fur Butter Conditioner Treatment  $8
An Ultra-Rich, Deep Conditioning Treatment

For the epitome in a luxuriously conditioned coat, our Fur Butter treatment features Shea Butter, Vitamin E, and other all-natural ingredients that will put your dog right up there with any of those Rodeo Drive Dandies!

Happytails Fur Butter is considered “Top Dog” in professional grooming circles, and there’s good reason, too.  Based on a natural Shea Butter recipe, Fur Butter soothes and protects from dryness and itchiness after a bath with all-natural ingredients including Shea Butter, colloidal oatmeal, aloe, and herbs such as rosemary, calendula, comfrey, chamomile, burdock, bowellia serrata, plus vitamins including skin-essential E.  Even damaged coats are restored to a healthy, super-soft sheen and manageability.

For that frequent itching due to skin irritation, this regimen begins with our luxurious Oatmeal Dry Skin Bath using Happytails Comfy Dog shampoo. Colloidal oatmeal, aloe, comfrey, and calendula appease moisture-starved skin and irritation caused by scratching.  Plus your dog will smell fabulous.

 

Next comes ultra-rich conditioning with our Fur Butter Conditioning Treatment featuring Shea Butter, Vitamin E, and other all-natural ingredients.

 

Depending upon the severity of your dog’s itching and dry skin, this regimen should be frequently repeated.  Weekly baths and conditioning are recommended for severe itchy skin.

Itchy Ear Regimen
An Ideal Way to Help Keep Ear Problems Away

Happy Tails Ear Wipes    
Gently remove residue and odor with all-natural pads infused with witch hazel and colloidal silver. Your dog’s ears are cleaned and deodorized while calendula, comfrey, and mullein flower soothe delicate tissue.  Pure lavender essential oil leaves the area smelling refreshed and healthy.

Happy Tails Ear Clear
This all-natural serum helps to eliminate the odor and itch associated with ear infections, especially if your dog is prone to ear infections.  The antibacterial/antimicrobrial formula eliminates smelly ears while breaking down wax buildup.  Ear Clear contains arnica and chaparral oils to decrease pain and discomfort caused by swelling.  It also contains organic comfrey and calendula to help soothe, heal and prevent.

Shedding “FURminator” Treatment
$20 per 15 minutes
The Absolute Best Way to Control Hair on Clothes, Furniture, etc.


Generally small to medium dogs with nicely maintained coats would require only 15 minutes to fully “FURminate.”  Otherwise, dogs with lots of undercoat or are not well maintained may require 30 minutes.  Large and giant dogs likely will require at least 30 minutes and up to 45-60 minutes if not maintained.

 

Dog owners report up to 90% reduced shedding with regular FURminator treatments.  The ingenious FURminator tool gets deep down into the undercoat to remove (it doesn’t cut) loose, dead hair that is the source of shedding.  With large amounts of dead hair removed, the FURminator works far better than any brush, comb or pet rake.

 

The topcoat is not damaged. The undercoat grows back in 4-6 weeks.  With periodic treatments, you’ll notice remarkably decreased shedding along with the allergies and cleanliness problems that come with it.

FURminator treatment is an added service for either your dog’s Full-Service Groom or Bath & Brush.  After the bath, and using the FURminator tool, we gently, yet thoroughly, comb away dead undercoat.  At the same time, your pet’s natural oils are brought out thereby promoting healthier skin and a shiny topcoat.  Great for all shedding long and short-haired dogs.

 

Ultimate FURminator Treatment

 

This enhanced treatment begins with our Conditioning Bath with Happytails Bubbles ‘n Beads followed by our Fur Butter deep-coat conditioning treatment for very best in coat conditioning.  These formulas help strengthen hair shafts and release the undercoat.  The Conditioning Bath and Fur Butter Treatment are regularly $5 and $8 respectively, but purchased in conjunction with the Ultimate FURminator Treatment, the cost is only $10 for both.

 

Treatments every 4-6 weeks are recommended to keep shedding well under control.

Brushing

Frequent brushing between FURminator treatments further keeps shedding under control while promoting good skin and coat health. (It also helps to build a strong relationship with your pet.) Not only are dead hairs removed, but also dirt and other debris. The skin’s natural oils are distributed throughout the coat.

Flea & Tick Funeral Dip  $20
For Heavy Infestations

This extra-strength flea and tick dip is designed for dogs heavily infested with fleas and/or ticks. This is not a bath; a liquid is poured on and massaged into the coat and onto the skin, including hard-to-reach places where the pesky tiny pests like to retreat.  

The liquid is a natural quick-action Pyrethrin concentrate that provides strong resistance to insect immunity for complete and effective flea and tick control. The formula leaves a non-offensive odor.
