Required Vaccinations
When bringing in your dog for the first time, please bring proof of the following vaccinations. For the safety of all our customers, we require all dogs to be current with the following vaccinations: (1) rabies, (2) distemper/parvo/lepto (commonly referred to as “3-in-1,” and (3) kennel cough.
Appointments
All services are by appointment. Appointments are available Tuesday through Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Please be sure your pet is on a leash with a collar and id tag or in your arms.
We do offer a discount of 10% for customers who have standing appointments every 2, 4, 6, or 8 weeks. For more information see Making An Appointment page.
No-Shows
To “no-show” means that a customer failed to remember an appointment or otherwise purposefully failed to show up without canceling or rescheduling in advance. We ask for a minimum of 24 hours advance notice if you must cancel or reschedule.
Because we generally turn down other customers when we reserve an appointment time, it is important that you make sure that you do not forget the date and time that was confirmed with you. Groomers, as other professionals, earn their living by providing services to their customers. If you fail to show up for an appointment, you negatively affect your groomer’s income. Some groomers report losing up to $10,000 annually just from no-show customers.
If a customer fails to show up for two appointments, we can no longer provide service without a $60 deposit on file. Unless the customer fails to show up at any time in the future, the deposit is fully refundable upon request.
Payment
Payment for all services are due upon picking up your pet. Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card using PayPal. If using PayPal, to save time, please confirm amount when dropping off your pet, and make payment before picking up your pet; otherwise, we will need to process the payment when you come in.
A $39.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks.
Unruly Pets
A special handling fee of $10 will be charged for pets with a propensity to bite or otherwise demonstrate harmful behavior.
Picking Up Your Pet
For 10:00 a.m. appointments, your pet will be available at 2:00 p.m. For 2:00 p.m. appointments, your pet will be available at 6:00 p.m. Since we close at 6:00 p.m. please be prompt.
· If a pet is not picked up at 6:00 p.m. and we are unable to reach the owner by telephone, the pet will be boarded at an additional cost of $14 per night.
· Even if we are able to reach the owner by telephone, we may not be able to stay to enable a late pick-up. If home delivery cannot be arranged ($35 charge) overnight boarding will be necessary.
Please have a leash available when you pick up your four-legged friend if you do not carry your pet.
Our Web Site Family Album
Our Web site features pictures of our customer’s dogs in a slide show we call Our Family Album. Customers may submit up to two photos in JPEG format so we can put them in our family album. We may also use pictures elsewhere on our Web site unless you ask that we do not.
We will add the photos periodically as we update the album. Due to space restrictions, we may use only one photo if two are submitted. Also, we may remove pictures as new ones are received and if our album becomes full. We will, however, save all pictures to rerun on a rotational basis to be fair to all customers.
Beginner’s Guide. Our beginner’s guide to Pet Grooming & Spa Therapeutics for Smart & Savvy Dog Owners has some important information and advice. Of particular importance is information about making and keeping appointments.
